I enjoyed watching IAM in their first season, attacking cycling on display throughout, which you have to do as a lesser team. They're back, bigger and slightly better with some more young talent to do the job for them.
In:
Jonas Van Genechten (sprinter)
Thomas Degand (climber)
Jerome Coppel (climber)
Stef Clement (TT, classics)
Jarlinson Pantano (climber)
Dries Devenyns (classics)
Larry Warbasse (a rider)
David Tanner (classics)
Clement Chevrier (young climber)
Simon Pellaud (young)
Out:
Johan Tshopp (attacker)
Gustav Larsson (TT)
Sebastian Hinault (famous name)
Thomas Lokvist (perrenial non-winner)
Kevyn Ista (cobbles, domestique)
Dominic Klemme (domestique)
Kristof Goddaert (injured)
Stars:
Sylvain Chavanel (classics)
Martin Elmiger (tough races)
Matthias Frank (stage races)
Heinrich Haussler (when things click)
Jonas Van Genechten (sprinter)
Sebastian Reichenbach (climby-classics)
Matthias Brandle (hour-record holder until February)
Strengths:
Great attacking brand of cycling which gets on TV and can pay off when the break makes it.
A decent bunch of sprinter types, who are consistently thereabouts at the end of the race.
Matthias Frank generally does his own thing and gets creditable results in good races, but they have added significantly to their climbing stocks.
Weaknesses:
Apart from Chavanel and maybe Haussler, they probably lack the real top class of rider.
Despite having quite a decent bunch of sprinters, there's not much in the way of a leadout train.
